With fatalities in the thousands and job losses in the millions, the novel Coronavirus pandemic is a crisis unlike any other we’ve ever faced. The shutdowns of our public and private organizations, institutions and businesses have affected nearly everyone.

First, we must act without hesitation to save lives. Second, we must use our resources to protect working families and small businesses.

Rep. TJ Cox (D-Calif.) will face off in a rematch against the Republican he previously unseated, David Valadao, in his bid for a second term in November after clearing the threshold in Tuesday’s all-party primary.

Cox narrowly defeated Valadao, by just 862 votes, in 2018. And now Valadao, who served three terms, is hoping to take his old seat back.

PARLIER — Rep. TJ Cox unveiled a $100 million “slice of justice” for families in the San Juaquin Valley — and across the nation — suffering contaminated drinking water and crumbling infrastructure.

On Monday, Cox and a smattering of Valley mayors visited a water storage facility in the rural Fresno County community of Pariler, where the congressman announced the Disadvantaged Community Drinking Water Assistance Act.

SELMA – California’s District 21 Rep. TJ Cox may have a new nickname after the inaugural Latino Inspire Awards ceremony that took place Oct. 19 at Selma’s City Hall.

“You know what the TJ stands for, right? Todo juntos,” Cox quipped at the ceremony. In English, that translates to ‘all together.’ Recipients of the awards said that’s just what they each should be doing to help, not only their hometowns, but the Valley, state and nation.

About 4.7 million U.S. veterans – a quarter of veterans – return to the U.S. and live in rural areas, and 58 percent of those veterans are enrolled in the Veterans Affairs health care system.

WASHINGTON D.C. — Congressman TJ Cox was sworn in Thursday as the representative for California’s 21st Congressional District.

Cox, a Democrat, came back from behind in the November midterm election to beat out the six-year incumbent, Republican Congressman David Valadao from Hanford, in the race for the district, which includes Kings County and portions of Fresno, Tulare and Kern counties.
