You have the right to vote. If anyone tries to stop you, call the Election Protection Hotline at 1-866-687-8683. Vote.org wrote a handy guide that outlines your voting rights.
How to get your ballot
- Every voter should receive a ballot in the mail this year.
- Click here to check your voter registration status and address. The last day to change your voting address is October 27th.
- You ballot will arrive by mail the 2nd week of October.
How to complete your ballot
- Use a black pen to completely fill in the oval to the right of your choice.
- Place the ballot in the return envelope, SIGN, DATE, and SEAL the back of the envelope and send it back using the FREE return postage.

DROP BOXES
There will be 66 ballot drop boxes open 24/7 October 5, 2020 to November 3, at 8 pm in Fresno County. You can find the one closest to you here.
OPERATION HOURS Tuesday, October 5th - Monday, November 2nd 24hrs Tuesday, November 3rd (Election Day) closes at 8pm
Fresno Early In Person:
Fresno will have 53 vote centers open the weekend before the election. You may vote at any of the locations if you are registered to vote in Fresno County. You do not need to bring your mail ballot with you, although it is recommended to speed up the voting process. They will be open from 9am-5pm Oct 31-Nov 2. Kern requires you to bring in your ballot, otherwise a provisional ballot will be administered. This is the only county out of the 4 within District 21 to conduct voting in this manner.

Kern County had locations sporadically open during the last week of October, from 12 pm to 6 pm.
As of November 1st, 2020 the only early voting polling location available is at the Kern County Election Office: 1115 Truxtun Ave. 1st Floor, Bakersfield CA, 93301-4639. For updates check CA Secretary of State’s website or Kern County’s Election information website.
